Apparently Manny Machado’s $5.25 million contract has rendered him money hungry. For those of you who follow him on Twitter, you might already know what I’m talking about.
Over the last few days, Machado’s followers (unless he’s sending them to just me) have received various direct messages from the promising shortstop. I know that when I received an email mentioning I had a message from the 3rd overall pick in the 2010 draft, I just figured he was voluntarily offering The Sombrero an interview. Boy, was I wrong…
It seems that Machado is following the Kardashians’ lead by promoting various products via Twitter. Well, it’s either that or Steve Jobs has already secretly selected young Manny to fill in for him while he’s on medical leave.
