Notes: Pronk’s golden sombrero on Tuesday night against the White Sox marks the first time a player has homered and fanned four times in a game this season.  Our favorite Vin Diesel look-alike wasn’t the only one to rack up the strikeouts, as White Sox pitchers fanned 19 in the 14-inning, 8-7 win.

Notes: Tolbert’s sombrero on Friday against the White Sox was his first of the season, although his fourth inning single did snap a 1-for-20 skid.  Dating back to June 15th, Tolbert is now two for his last 23 and is currently hitting .181.

Notes: After seemingly finding his swing (7-for-21 from April 26 – April 30) Lee kicked off May with a bang, fanning in each of his four at-bats on Sunday.  The performance lowers Lee’s slash line to .228/.304/.287 for the 2011 season, and he has now struck out 27 times in 101 at-bats.

White Sox News: Pierzynski, Alexei Ramirez, Hall of Fame, and Rating Kenny Williams Trades

Tracy Ringolsby posted on his Twitter account that in return for starting pitcher Gavin Floyd, the White Sox were asking for both Ian Stewart and Dexter Fowler.  He declared such a proposition to be “silly.” [Inside the Rockies]

There should be an announcement either today or tomorrow regarding Alexei Ramirez and his 2011 contract.  The White Sox shortstop will either be offered a contract extension or exercise his player option and opt out of his $1.1 million salary for 2011.  If he chooses to opt out, the White Sox can either exercise their $2.75 million club option, or take their chances in arbitration.
