{"id":6087,"date":"2012-03-28T12:39:10","date_gmt":"2012-03-28T17:39:10","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/thegoldensombrero.com\/wordpress\/?p=6087"},"modified":"2012-03-28T12:39:10","modified_gmt":"2012-03-28T17:39:10","slug":"bud-selig-is-blowing-it","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/thegoldensombrero.com\/wordpress\/archives\/6087","title":{"rendered":"Bud Selig Is Blowing It"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: left\"><a href=\"http:\/\/thegoldensombrero.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/03\/budselignose.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-6088\" src=\"http:\/\/thegoldensombrero.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/03\/budselignose-300x199.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"199\" srcset=\"http:\/\/thegoldensombrero.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/03\/budselignose-300x199.jpg 300w, http:\/\/thegoldensombrero.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/03\/budselignose.jpg 612w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>When I first heard the news that MLB was sending two teams to Japan to kick-off the 2012 season I didn\u2019t think much of it.\u00a0 Now that I am stuck in a classroom full of 6<sup>th<\/sup> graders taking state mandated tests, I have some time on my hands.\u00a0 Major League Baseball is a monster-sized, multi-national, money making operation.\u00a0 This is fine.\u00a0 As a matter of fact, this is great.\u00a0 I have no problems with this whatsoever.\u00a0 But hosting Opening Day in a different country\u2026that\u2019s some bull!<\/p>\n<p>You can talk all you want about how Japan is a great consumer of all things MLB.\u00a0 You can praise them over and over for what they have done for the game.\u00a0 And don\u2019t get me wrong;
