What can we tell you that you don\u2019t already know about this living legend?\u00a0 Bryce Harper had a 30\/30 season at a JUCO.\u00a0 A JUCO!\u00a0 He then was selected 1st<\/sup> overall as a 17-year-old and later signed for a $6.25 million signing bonus that came equipped with a 40-man spot.\u00a0 Harper then made his way to the taxi squad in the Arizona Fall League where he slashed a .343\/.410\/.629 line.\u00a0 He is expected to start the year in Class A and potentially finish in Double-A.\u00a0 He is then expected to start 2011 in Double-A and finish up with a small cup in September.<\/p>\n

He then will begin 2012 in Triple-A and be the CF in DC by June.\u00a0 Maybe.\u00a0 I doubt it.\u00a0 Harper has never been challenged on a baseball field by anyone except himself.\u00a0 He should completely outclass everyone he faces in the low Minors and warrant a promotion within a couple of weeks.\u00a0 I don\u2019t expect much of a difference in Double-A, so I would be surprised if he does not have a pretty nice collection of Triple-A at-bats by the start of the 2012 season.<\/p>\n

Anyway\u2026enough with the predictions.\u00a0 Harper is the best hitting prospect ever.\u00a0 The hype is as real as it gets, and with a true 80 power grade, he possesses more power than almost anyone in the game today.\u00a0 He has the highest hit tool score in the Nats organization with a legitimate 70.\u00a0 His arm is double-plus at least, and his athleticism and instincts should allow him to play center now that Jayson Werth is in right for the foreseeable future in Washington.\u00a0 Hell. Maybe he\u2019ll snag a few starts behind the dish.\u00a0 You know, just for fun.\u00a0 Harper has no equivalent in the baseball world today, and anything short of a Hall of Fame career will somehow seem less than acceptable with this once in a generation set of skills.<\/p>\n
