For those out there who are unfamiliar with such terminology, a golden sombrero is the illustrious four-strikeout game.<\/p>\n<p>Torres, who is <a href=\"http:\/\/thegoldensombrero.com\/wordpress\/archives\/1171\" target=\"_blank\">no stranger to the sombrero<\/a>, struck out against Philadelphia Phillies starter Roy Oswalt in each of his four plate appearances in Game 2, which Philadelphia ultimately won 6-1.  In his first three at bats, Torres was blown away by Oswalt&#8217;s overpowering fastball; in his final at bat, Oswalt dropped a nasty, backdoor curve on the Giants leadoff hitter, making the sombrero official.<\/p>\n<p>Of Oswalt&#8217;s nine strikeouts in the game, Torres was responsible for four of them.<br \/>\n<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On Sunday night, San Francisco Giants center fielder Andres Torres became the first player in the 2010 postseason to notch a golden sombrero.
